Kerala  has the best  Foot ball tradition  in the  country . But there  is only limited projects  for  the development  of women  foot ball in the  state.  No  other  plans  have been  implemented  for the  growth of women’s  Foot ball  at the  grassroots level. In women’s  football  Kerala  lags  far  behind  Nationally.

         
The  aim is to have a unique academy of national standard in a place suitable for accommodation and training  Training   period will be  5 year  from  8^th  std  to 12^th std. It will  be divided in the two stages. After 3 year (8 ,9,10) those  who are showing high level  quality  only will  be  promoted  to next  2  year  (+1,+2 class) total  25 girls will be  selected  for the  academy. The academy is established at Panambilly Nagar, Ernakulam.

The  project is implemented  by the  Kerala state sports council  with  the collaboration of State of Kerala and Department of education.
